Adopt-a-Day and Adopt-a-Week Programs
The Adopt-a-Day and Adopt-a-Week Program senable groups to both contribute to the cost of building a Habitat home and share the experience of participating in a Habitat build.
Working together to build a home for a less fortunate family is a powerful bonding experience for volunteers and an effective teambuilding exercise for corporate and other groups. Spending time together on a Habitat construction site is also a meaningful way to celebrate significant occasions such as family reunions, significant life events, or organizational milestones.
With a financial contribution of $1,500 per day or $5,000 per week, groups of volunteers (8-10 per day) can form the construction crew, working under the supervision of the Habitat Site Supervisor. In return, Habitat provides:
- On-site signage throughout build acknowledging financial support of group
- On-site signage acknowledging presence of your work crews during Adopt-a-Day or Adopt-a-Week
- Recognition on website and social networks of financial support for build and participation of your volunteers
- Hard Hats
- Habitat for Humanity T shirts for crew members to keep.
- Coffee & snacks, cold water, lunch and laughs
- One-year of advertising (truck wrapping) on our ReStore Van and in-store advertising-*Adopt-A-Week only*
Both skilled and unskilled/novice volunteers are welcome as construction crew members. Mandatory safety training is provided for your volunteers at a convenient location of your choice.
Members of your group who are unable or prefer not to help with construction can help with support services:
Cater a lunch for one or more days for the construction volunteers
Donate baked goods, fruit/vegetables and drinks as snacks for construction volunteers.
Help with build-site registration of volunteers or First Aid
