Becoming a Habitat Volunteer

Habitat for Humanity Safety Manual | Homebuilding Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manual

Thank you for sharing your valuable time with Habitat for Humanity Wellington County.

At HFHWC, our volunteers expand our capacity to build more homes in Wellington County through community connections, new ideas, diverse experiences and specialized skill sets. Habitat volunteers are the cornerstone of our organization – they are both the thoughts behind our actions and the actions behind our plans. With guidance from the organization, every giving individual can find a place where they can help us towards our goals.

2010 saw 750 active volunteers assisting us with our mission in a variety of ways including helping with sales in the ReStore, answering phones in the front office, sharing skills on our numerous committees, and of course, joining the construction sites.

With all of the relationships forged (including 450 new volunteers) over the past year, HFHWC looks forward to building more homes per year in 2011 and beyond.

Please review the safety materials attached to this page. Safety requirements are included on the Safety and Well-Being page.
